KATTOR starts its technical service for Xixihe Bridge, which is one of the key-controlling projects in Chengdu-Guizhou Railway system. This bridge is contracted by China Railway 18 Bureau Company, within which the main bridge steel structure is installed by China Railway Jiujiang Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd.
In this project, KATTOR’s Continuous Strand-jack System (CSS) and Synchronous Lifting System (SLS) are adopted to assist the construction operation.
Starting in 2014, Xixihe Bridge adopts the highly asymmetric structure–Horizontal Two-way Turning structure. Whole length of the bridge is 493.6m, and the highest pier is 60m, with depth from bridge deck to the valley bottom being 260m. The main span is 240m deck type CFST arch bridge, making it the longest span in the same structure bridges of China.
