Intelligent Synchronous Lifting System Applied in the Maintenance of the Second Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge

    The Second Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, with the whole length of 4.41 km, stretches from Huangpu Road in the north to Xudong Street of Wuchang District, spanning across Yangtze River. The main bridge is double-tower and double-cable-plane reinforced concrete cable-stayed bridge, which is 560 meter-long (180+400+180), and 26.5m wide, having 6 lanes in two-direction. This bridge is the first over-size prestressed reinforced concrete cable-stayed bridge on Yangtze River. In 2006, repairing and maintenance work were conducted on the rigid frame bridge, continuous beam structure and bearings.

  • Challenge:

    Synchronous movement between all lifting points should be ensured, otherwise there may be great potential safety hazard and bridge may be damaged.
